Cloverleaf, providers of AI-driven retail technology for brick-and-mortar marketers and merchandisers, has been named a “Cool Vendor” in the May 2017 Consumer Goods Manufacturing report by Gartner. The Irvine, CA-based company was recognized for shelfPoint, its innovative and intelligent shelf solution that uses engaging high-definition LCD strips across the entire shelf to attract, engage and convert shoppers based on their level of engagement and distance. Equipped with optical sensors, shelfPoint anonymously gathers key shopper demographic metadata, including age, gender and major ethnic group. Emotional AI technology classifies facial expressions and overall sentiment, providing retailers with actionable shopper behavior analytics. Launched in January 2017 at the National Retail Federation show in New York City, early pilots are showing that shelfPoint provides shoppers with an entertaining experience that delivers double-digit sales uplift.
From the release: “We are thrilled to be recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor. We work hard to improve the retail shopper experience,” said Gordon Davidson, founder and CEO of Cloverleaf. “Our belief holds that the shelf has the power to unlock a whole new level of shopper insights that have never before been available to retailers. Over time, this data will make promotions better and delight consumers.”
